Approximately 150 middle and high school students gathered Saturday at Cabrillo High School to explore different careers and engage industry professionals at the Lompoc Teen Center's inaugural event, "Pathways: A Career Conference for Teens."

In a landmark effort to empower local youth and create career pathways, a joint initiative is underway to develop a Youth Workforce Pipeline in Lompoc. Nine finalists returned Saturday to compete in the Teens Got Talent showcase finale at the Lompoc Civic Auditorium that featured seven soloists and one duo performance.

In partnership with Santa Barbara County’s Workforce Development Center, the county’s Third District Supervisor Joan Hartmann is working to launch a Youth Workforce Pipeline.

Lompoc Teen Center and Lompoc Theatre Project are proud to present the finale for the 2024 Lompoc Teens’ Got Talent showcase this Saturday, September 28, at the Lompoc Civic Auditorium, 217 South L Street, from 6 p.m.-9 p.m.

Lompoc Teen Center is partnering with the Lompoc Theatre Project to host the second annual Lompoc Teens’ Got Talent event.

This past summer break, organizers with the Lompoc Teen Center took local students on trips to Six Flags, Universal Studios, and a horseback riding excursion. But with the new school year just getting started, the nonprofit’s efforts are focused on supporting them in the classroom.
